There’s a thunderstorm going on outside. My power has flickered on and off for the past half hour. The sky has lit up like the fourth of july a couple times. I hate thunderstorms and wish Nick were here to cuddle up in bed and go to sleep.

Yesterday was Jonathan’s second birthday and we celebrated it as well as Kahlan’s first birthday, which is actually tomorrow. The party was pretty fun and the kids had a good time. Nick and I were only home for about twenty minutes when my dad came home. He was having bad chest pains and shortness of breath last night, so he went to the hospital. He stayed the night so they could run some tests and everything is good from what they can see, but don’t know why he had the pain or shortness of breath. Nick stayed with me last night because I was worried and scared, but I’m happy to know things are okay now. He’s coming home in a little while. I have to go to Jonathan’s other birthday party with his dads side of the family and a couple of our family members, so I can’t go pick him up because he doesn’t even know when he will get out.

New years eve kind of sucked because I woke up that morning feeling like crap. I went shopping with my cousin and got a couple candles and a pair of jeans. I hung out at home until Nick got off work and we went down to the Coach store to pick out my gift. When we got done there, we had to go meet his friend Greg because he didn’t know how to get to Nick’s house. They loaded up wood for the bonfire in the trucks and Greg left. Nick and I went to my cousins so I could have a couple drinks with them. We went up to Greg’s and a played a couple rounds of beer pong, but had to sober up to come home because I started feeling even worse. I had a fever and felt like I was going to puke and not because of the beer. We came back to my house and went to bed. We went out to breakfast yesterday morning and just lounged around the rest of the day because I felt so horrible. I had to call into work because there was no way I was able to work today. I’m really bummed because I start classes on Monday. The winter break went by way too fast.

We set a weekend and reserved a hotel room in Lincoln City tonight. Tomorrow night is New Year’s Eve so we will be hanging out at Ashley’s for a little while then heading up to Sandy for the bonfire/Greg’s 20th birthday. It’ll be an interesting night.

It’s official; Nick and I are going away the last weekend of January to Lincoln City. This will be our first weekend trip with just the two of us, so I’m extremely excited. It is exactly what we need and will be a wonderful weekend.

Christmas was a busy, but wonderful day. I spent my time at Nick’s and Ashley’s.

From Ashley: Jessica Simpson Fancy perfume set, love spell and pure seduction body sprays from Victoria secrets, underwear, tank tops, My Sister’s Keeper and Burn after Reading, leopard print pajama pants, a black shirt, and a leopard print blanket, Vanilla lime yankee candle, buttercream and vanilla cupcake lip balms.
From Whitney: A vest, a leopard print snuggie, underwear, Lego Rock band, Twilight Woods lotion and body wash, VS mint lip shine, leopard print shorts, bonnebell eye shadow, Kat Von Dee eye shadow.
From my dad: A new HP desktop, long johns for camping, and mariah carry perfume set.
From Carol: A bunch of vanilla candles, a baking book, and a bunch of recipe cards.
From Nick’s parents: Magic Bullet
From Bec: A really cute plaid shirt from JcPenny.

I haven’t gotten anything from nick yet because he doesn’t get paid until New Years Eve, he is taking me shopping to pick out a purse and other things. Christmas was really good this year and I’m really thankful to have had the chance to spend so much time with everyone. I don’t have any pictures because my camera was dead, so hopefully Bec posts pictures soon.

I spent the first part of Christmas Eve with my dad singing 70′s music going to Fred Meyer and Shary’s for breakfast. We opened presents with each other and his girlfriend today. While my dad went to his girlfriends Christmas dinner party, I left with Nick and his parents around 7 for Dallas to surprise Bec at her boyfriends fiances mom’s house. It was wonderful seeing her so happy and glowing. She was over whelemed with being proposed to and having all of us show up, but it was a great evening. My camera was dead and I didn’t have a chance to take pictures, so as soon as I get copies from people I will hopefully post them. Her ring is absolutely beautiful, just like her and fits her personality perfect, so of course I want to post pictures of it. I’m glad she is finally with someone who loves her for her and someone who makes her completely happy.

I finally just saw New Moon with Ashley and Nick. It was better than the first, but it still had it’s cheesy moments. I felt that the acting Kristen did on the nightmare screaming was horrible and could have been better. I was happy there weren’t screams over everything that Edward or Jacob did. It was a nice, relaxing night.

I’ve been extremely busy this past term, so I haven’t had the chance to update. I passed my Health and Business class with A’s and my History class with a C; all my hard work paid off. Since the term has ended I’ve been spending more time with Nick, reading books I bought throught out the term, but never had time to read them, spending time with Ash, working more hours, and making more trips to the gym. During the term I met some pretty awesome people, in class and outside of class. I’ve been to a few bonfire parties at Nick’s friends house out in Sandy and there’s going to be another one New Year’s Eve, which hopefully Ashley can go. Christmas is a week away and I’m ready for it to be here already.

I’m home from my wonderful weekend of loud, amazing hot rods, awesome people, an amazing boyfriend, and the beach. I’m missing every minute of it. I’ll have pictures up in a day or two.
